Dr. Michael Melman joined Conejo Children’s Medical Group (CCMG) in 2013 after practicing pediatrics in the San Fernando Valley for ten years. Originally from New York, Dr. Melman earned his bachelor’s degree with distinction from Cornell University. He then attended the University at Buffalo School of Medicine, where he graduated cum laude and received his medical degree in 1999.

Following medical school, Dr. Melman served as a pediatric leukemia research fellow at the National Institutes of Health and National Cancer Institute in Washington, D.C. During his fellowship, he conducted research in acute lymphoblastic leukemia, published two research papers, and was the recipient of a Cancer Research Training Award. He subsequently completed his pediatric residency at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, before moving to California in 2003.

Dr. Melman is board certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics, as well as a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He has also served on the Quality Care Committee at Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center.

With more than 20 years of experience caring for children and adolescents, Dr. Melman has a broad range of interests within pediatrics, including newborn and infant care, nutrition, childhood and adolescent obesity, ADHD, mental health, and sports medicine. He is particularly passionate about helping families better understand their children’s health and providing them with practical, evidence-based guidance to make informed decisions.

Dr. Melman is also the creator and host of “Dr. Melman Says,” a YouTube channel where he brings his experience beyond the exam room to provide parents and families with clear, practical, evidence-based information about children’s health. His videos explore important and timely pediatric topics, including childhood obesity and GLP-1 medications, ADHD, nutrition, mental health, vaccines, sports medicine, newborn care, common childhood illnesses, and many of the questions parents face every day.

Outside of the office, Dr. Melman enjoys working out, cooking, and spending time with his wife, Brianna, their three children, Bronx, Maliya, and Maverix, and their Goldendoodles, Reeses and Hershey.
